The Office of Information Technology provides services for computer hardware, printers and multifunction devices.
Computer Orders
All University computer orders (including tablet devices other than iPads) must be submitted through the Office of Information Technology through Help Desk Self Service, per the Chief Finance and Operations Officer.
Windows 10 end of support coming fall 2025
Microsoft has announced that it will no longer support Windows 10 starting fall 2025. However, more than one-third of current university-owned computers are unable to upgrade to Windows 11.
It’s important to note that beginning fall 2025, university-owned computers still running Windows 10 will no longer receive updates or support from Microsoft. This includes critical security updates, which are essential for protecting against vulnerabilities and threats.
We encourage each department to start planning for this transition as soon as possible. This may involve budgeting for new hardware over the next two fiscal years to ensure all university-owned Windows computers are compatible with Windows 11 before fall 2025.
