Google Spaces

Turn a Google group chat into a Google Space. Google Spaces provides more features than a group chat and allows you to name your Space, share files, and assign tasks with other people in the Space.

You can also use Google Spaces with people outside Boise State if they have a Google Workspace or personal Gmail account.

Access Google Spaces

Create a Space from Chat or Gmail

1. Go to Google Chat or your Gmail account.
2. Next to “Spaces” click + Create or find a space.
3. Enter a Space name.
4. Enter names or email addresses of people and groups you want to add.
