The Office of Information Technology is pleased to welcome Brandon Bowlin to Boise State University as the new Chief Information Security Officer.
Bowlin is a dedicated and skilled cybersecurity professional who has made it his mission to protect and defend against the ever-growing threats in the digital realm and safeguard individuals’ and organizations’ digital well-being.
His cybersecurity career has focused on consulting and security advisory, leading teams to implement technologies, processes, and strategies across multiple industries and verticals.
Born in Tennessee, Bowlin enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating high school and then attended Vanderbilt University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree before returning to the Marine Corps as a Communications Officer.
After completing his military service, Bowlin began his professional journey in information technology management before returning to school to obtain a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University.
