Undergraduate Research Assistantships

Undergraduate research assistants (URA) work alongside nursing faculty on their developing projects and often participate in conferences. They build research skills such as verbal and written communication, project management, and information analysis.

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing’s mission is to support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses. Since 1922, Sigma has grown to over 130,000 members and 90 countries. Mu Gamma is the local chapter for nurses in the Treasure Valley.

Other Opportunities for Student Involvement

Teaching Assistant

Students interested in serving as a teaching assistant may be contacted by one of their previous didactic instructors regarding available opportunities to assist with grading student papers and other clerical tasks. Positions are limited but are part-time paid positions that may continue over multiple semesters.  Students become ineligible after graduating from the Undergraduate Program.
