Tracy Watt, MSN, joined the School of Nursing in the spring of 2024 as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Tracy has extensive nursing leadership experience and prioritizes relationships and team building in her practice. Her clinical experience has been in varied settings, including the Emergency Department and Patient Safety.

Tracy received her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on Leadership and Management from Western Governor’s University, where she received recognition for the exceptional nature of work submitted for “Application
of Strategic Leadership and Future Delivery Models”. Tracy received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boise State University, and an Associate Degree of Science in Nursing from Treasure Valley Community College.

Tracy’s leadership and education passions are focused on the resilience, psychological safety and well-being of her teams, colleagues and students, and how those things help to reduce nursing “burnout”, compassion fatigue, lateral incivility and workplace violence.

Tracy is a Treasure Valley native and enjoys camping, hiking and hunting all over Idaho. She also enjoys cooking, experimenting with new recipes and hosting family and friends in her home.
