Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Nursing
Edy Zepeda has enjoyed a diverse career in nursing since he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 from Boise State University. His career as an RN began in 2014 at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center Telemetry unit. Since then he has held positions in multiple units ranging from trauma one centers, to medical, surgical, and trauma intensive care units. While working as an ICU RN and an adjunct instructor for Boise State University, he began his masters program in 2017 at Pennsylvania State University.
In 2020, Zepeda left Idaho and began working for Pennsylvania State University-Harrisburg while working at Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center. His capstone project focused on completing a meta-analysis on a CPR focused pit-crew model as compared to automatic chest compression devices.
While finishing his first year as an instructor in Pennsylvania, he decided to move back to Idaho and join the Boise State University, School of Nursing faculty as a clinical assistant professor. Zepeda also joined the crisis/rapid response team at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center.
Zepeda enjoys fly fishing, hunting, carpentry, camping, running (half/full marathons), cheering on the Broncos and anything that involves spending time with his wife and three beautiful children.
