Jason K. Blomquist is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at Boise State University. With a background in innovative nursing leadership and telehealth, Blomquist brings a wealth of experience in transforming healthcare delivery through technology. His career journey, from inpatient cardiac care to directing telehealth operations, has fostered a passion for professional practice improvement and nurse development.

Currently pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus on Executive Leadership, Blomquist is at the forefront of addressing critical issues in nursing, such as workplace violence reporting. His research and teaching interests span technology integration in healthcare, leadership development, and the innovative use of artificial intelligence in nursing education.

Blomquist is actively involved in professional organizations, serving on the board of directors for the American Nurses Association of Idaho board and Sigma Theta Tau’s Mu Gamma Chapter. He also continues to bridge the gap between clinical practice and education, maintaining his role as a Telemetry RN.
