Tracee Chapman, DNP, RN, CEN, SANE-A, CHSE

Tracee Chapman is an Idaho native, born in Boise. After receiving her bachelor’s in nursing from Boise State University in 2015, she began her career in the emergency department. While in the ED, she was certified in adult and pediatric trauma care. She is currently certified in emergency nursing and forensic nursing and is certified in healthcare simulation education.

She worked for a short period monitoring loop recorders and most recently spent two years as a junior high school nurse. She has also been a Canyon County SAFE team member, working as a forensic nurse for over seven years. Her work as a SANE has been an honor and privilege to provide trauma-informed, holistic care to survivors of violence.

Dr. Chapman learned early in her career that she loved precepting in the hospital environment and wanted to pursue teaching nursing students. She graduated with her MSN from Northwest Nazarene University in 2021 and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Weber State University in 2024. She has taught nursing students for 3.5 years, focusing on behavioral health, and currently leads the simulation team. 

Dr. Chapman enjoys RV camping with her husband, two sons, and two dogs when not working on-call or picking up a shift in the ED. She and her family also love swimming, kayaking, and visiting national parks.
