Jeri Bigbee, professor of nursing, made several presentations to university, faculty and staff during her visit to the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada as an American Fulbright Specialist for public and global health. Bigbee, the first recipient of the Joanna “Jody” DeMeyer Endowed Chair in Nursing, spoke about the role of nurses in rural health and urged healthcare providers to build on their community’s assets rather than focusing on what is lacking. Bigbee’s expertise and visit was featured in the Pincher Creek Echo, Alberta, Canada.
