Nursing faculty and students volunteered at the Central District Health Department’s Sports Preparation clinic for high school students participating in sports. Held at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex Auditorium on the Boise State University campus, hundreds of high school students gathered to receive physical assessments, immunizations and health information from health care providers and other healthcare volunteers. Immunizations were provided by School of Nursing faculty Amy Hardin, Pam Strohfus, Faye Carlson, Mary Ann Towle, Cathy Deckys and Marty Downey, who were assisted by nursing students and Boise State nursing alumni.  Nursing student Elizabeth Kidd helped screen and direct high school students.
