Melissa Keith presented her research at the International Writing Centers Association Conference in Atlanta Oct. 10-13 alongside six undergraduate researchers: Amber Baker, biology; Shea Golob, philosophy; Kailee Jones, materials science and engineering; Madison Martinez, English education; Emily Thorsen, English literature and Rachel Whitaker, English education.
Additionally, two former graduate assistants, Skyler Meeks and Allie Qiu, presented on panels from Boise State.
This year’s conference was dedicated to an investigation of diversity and inclusion efforts in the field of writing center studies, and the representatives of the Boise State Writing Center presented their research on initiatives developed to support the increasingly diverse campus population of writers at the graduate and undergraduate level. The undergraduate researchers received individual travel grants from the Associated Students of Boise State University.
