Volunteer for Campus Move-in Day, Bronco Welcome

Boise State University welcomes all students, faculty and staff back to campus for the start of the fall 2018 academic semester. This is an exciting time of the year as the community returns to campus to reconnect with friends and colleagues. Boise State University also will welcome one of our largest freshman classes this fall, continuing Boise State University’s historic growth.

The campus community is invited to take part in the upcoming excitement.

Housing move-in day

Please show a warm welcome to all of our residents in campus housing by assisting with move in, answering questions and putting on your best Bronco smile. This day brings us students who are both excited and nervous about the upcoming year. Your support and assistance with the day will help make them comfortable in their new home.

Convocation

Incoming Boise State students will have an opportunity to hear from Leslie Webb, vice president for student affairs. Following the address, students will participate in the annual walk to Albertsons Stadium for the “B” on the Blue photo.

For any other questions, comments or concerns, please reach out to America Yorita-Carrion at americayoritacarrion@boisestate.edu or Brian McDermott at brianmcdermott@boisestate.edu.

Parking Considerations for Aug. 17

Resident move-in will increase and affect traffic flow on campus. Please follow all signs and staff direction and do not enter restricted areas. Your patience with altered traffic patterns is appreciated and will help ensure a seamless move-in experience.

The West Stadium Lot will see increased traffic in the afternoon, due to Convocation at 3 p.m. in Taco Bell Arena, followed by the “B” on the Blue event scheduled for approximately 4 p.m. Convocation and the walk to the “B” will temporarily increase traffic in many  areas of campus. Please watch for pedestrians.

The West Stadium Lot will be open for parking, however, permit holders are encouraged to crosspark in nearby lots to avoid traffic. Signs and staff will be on site for directions and assistance.

This weekend also kicks off Bronco Welcome, our first-year welcome program that showcases student organizations, campus departments, and various opportunities and activities for all Broncos. Your patience, support of university values and kindness during these activities is appreciated and will help set the tone and standard for our new students.
