Michal Temkin Martinez co-taught a course at the 2018 Institute for Collaborative Language Research (CoLang), which took place at the University of Florida in June. The course, titled “Integrating Experimental Methods, Language Documentation and (Linguistic) Theory,” helped students better understand how experimental approaches to linguistics can complement traditional language documentation methods, while enriching and drawing from linguistic theory. The week-long course was attended by 13 linguistics graduate students from around the U.S., and was co-taught by Seunghun Lee, associate professor of linguistics at International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan.
