Shared Leadership is a two-year program in which participants — a select group of Boise State employees that includes faculty, classified and professional staff — explore leadership issues, complexities of the campus community, the free exchange of ideas, and more.
The program is looking for volunteers from campus and beyond who are interested in becoming mentors for Shared Leadership participants. The mentor/mentee relationship is flexible and can take many forms, said Ellie Pierce, an academic advisor in the College of Health Sciences and a member of the Shared Leadership mentorship committee.
Pairs can choose to focus on a specific project, or share professional knowledge, or decide on another mutually beneficial activity. They also decide their own meeting schedule. Shared Leadership is looking for mentors ranging in age and areas of expertise, including academic, artistic, professional, athletic, or other.
Potential volunteer mentors can email Pierce at elliepierce@boisestate.edu or call 6-1675 for more information. Current mentors who want to continue do not need to contact Pierce unless they are changing their status to inactive.
