Brian Wampler spent a week in Kenya conducting research for an ongoing research project on citizen participation and democratic institution-building. He met with community leaders and government officials. Rural villagers were seeking to build basic water facilities and properly equip a health clinic.
In addition, Wampler recently presented a paper and was a discussant at the Latin American Studies Association conference, held in Barcelona, Spain.
