Boise State’s Department of Public Safety, and Housing and Residence Life, will host federal law enforcement armed assailant training in Keiser Hall from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, May 10. This specialized training is designed specifically to better prepare emergency responders to protect the local community in the event of an armed intruder/hostage-type scenario.
Signs will be posted notifying passers-by that it is a training exercise. Various law enforcement emergency response vehicles will be parked in the West Stadium parking lot next to Chaffee Hall. All of the training will be conducted inside of the John K. Keiser Hall building.
Emergency responders appreciate the opportunity to train on campus, especially with unique buildings such as Keiser Hall that combine residence halls and classrooms. For all of those involved, being able to train on the actual campus is invaluable.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Boise State Department of Public Safety Communications Center at (208) 426-6911.
