Drop by the spring service-learning poster exhibition from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in the Student Union Hatch Ballroom to learn more about the Service-Learning Program, an innovative teaching and learning method that integrates course content with relevant community service.
Boise State offers more than 160 SL courses each year from over 35 departments across each college in partnership with over 100 community partners, 93 faculty members and over 3,000 students. The SL staff provides extensive support for planning, implementing and assessing SL.
Please join us to recognize faculty dedication to innovative teaching, honor student accomplishments and celebrate the work of community partners.
- Speak with faculty and students about their SL experiences
- Get ideas for SL projects and learn about new SL models
- Talk with community partners about potential projects
Students will showcase posters demonstrating how their SL projects provided authentic, hands-on learning and made a valuable impact in the community. Faculty and community partners will be circulating to discuss SL ideas. Refreshments will be served.
