The country and the American Library Association will mark National Library Week, April 8-14.
As part of the festivities, library users across the U.S. will be able to nominate their favorite librarians, library staffers, and others who support libraries for recognition on National Library Workers Day, April 10.
Nominations from each state appear in an online “Galaxy of Stars.” At last count, Idaho had just three nominations. Nominate your favorites online now.
The American Library Association first sponsored National Library Week in 1958 as a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries, school, public, academic and special, participate.
