The Idaho Conference on Refugees, themed Resilience: Thriving in the Face of Adversity, serves many purposes: that of rejuvenation, learning, sharing and connecting. It has continued to grow, reaching new stakeholders in the community and providing additional opportunities for improved refugee resettlement. The conference spans two days and is filled with workshops, plenaries, speakers and panels, and is an excellent opportunity to learn best practices, network with others working or volunteering in resettlement and get updates on resettlement in the U.S. and abroad. Ishmael Beah, UNICEF child advocate and author of “A Long Way Gone “and “The Radiance of Tomorrow,” will provide Tuesday morning’s keynote address.
Registration will close Friday, Jan. 26.
