Boise State’s MashUp series pairs experts from seemingly unrelated fields to spark engaging conversations. This free event is open to the Boise community and offers a unique opportunity to hear from thought leaders and innovators.

The next event “Boom & Bust – Wellness and Technology,” will take place from 5-6:30 p.m. on April 30 at JUMP in Boise. Free tickets are available online.

Speakers

  • Moji Sadegh (Boise State Associate Professor of Civil Engineering ), “Wildfire Shocks” – Highlighting how tech innovations like big data and remote sensing are transforming wildfire risk management and shaping more informed, proactive policies.
  • Brad Mosell (Dharma Dr. Founder), Warthog Zen” – Reflecting on the legacy of the A-10 Warthog, its Boise roots, and how engineering precision and mindfulness intersect in military maintenance and meditative practice.

MashUp is an interdisciplinary speaker series hosted by Boise State’s College of Innovation + Design and the College of Engineering’s School of Computing. Now in its third season, the series creates dynamic conversations by bringing together experts from different fields and inviting audiences to connect the dots.
