Google Vids is an AI-powered video creation tool that simplifies the process of producing high-quality videos and screencasts. Powered by Google Gemini, it enables users to quickly generate video content by combining images, audio and video elements—similar to creating a Google Slides presentation, but with enhanced editing capabilities and AI-driven refinement.
Google Vids is available to the Boise State campus community through employee Google Workspace accounts.
Key Features
AI-Assisted Content Generation: Use the “Help me create” feature to generate a video draft with a simple prompt. Gemini AI will make suggestions, such as a script or stock media, and format the content into a coherent storyboard.
Extensive Media Library: Access millions of royalty-free stock videos, images and music tracks to use in projects.
AI Voiceovers and Recording Studio: The built-in recording studio lets users record audio, video or screen captures directly within Vids. You can also choose from AI-generated voiceovers to narrate videos.
Customizable Templates: A variety of video templates are available to help you quickly get started. Explore different themes and customize templates to meet specific project needs.

To start using Vids, browse to vids.google.com and log in with Boise State credentials.
