Early this year, Kevin Rank, an information technology instructor, made a guest appearance on the Kasper & Chris, Live and Local morning show on Boise’s 670 KBOI radio station. Rank was tuned into the show when he heard a discussion on AI–-a topic he’s deeply passionate about. Inspired, he sent KBOI a note with insights on AI and a bit more about his background. They then invited him to call in to their show so he could share more.
During his brief segment, Rank touched on the rapidly increasing demands of chatbots, AI’s role in enhancing business productivity and the potential emergence of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) within the next five years. He also addressed ethical concerns about AI personalities and the threat of deepfakes, introducing a startup focused on authenticating contents to combat misinformation. Rank’s insights provided a concise look at both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in AI’s evolution.
