This spring, the Idaho State Legislature approved an increase for state employees in Fiscal Year 2025, often called Change in Employee Compensation (CEC).
What was approved?
- A one percent (1%) increase for all permanent benefit-eligible employees
- A two percent (2%) merit pool
Who qualifies?
- Permanent benefit-eligible faculty and professional staff employed as of March 4, 2024.
- Permanent benefit-eligible classified staff employed as of April 14, 2024 (those on entrance probation will be eligible after the completion of their probation).
- To be eligible for the merit pool, employees must have a positive performance evaluation and have completed statewide cybersecurity and respectful workplace trainings.
Next steps
The university recently submitted a CEC plan for Boise State employees to the Division of Human Resources and the Division of Financial Management, following their guidance. Boise State leaders are currently awaiting their review.
