Hundreds of artists, performers, filmmakers, authors and creatives light up downtown Boise every March during Treefort Music Fest. Boise State students, employees and alumni play a key role in planning, performing and volunteering each year. And this year – the festival’s 12th from March 20-24 – is no different.
Since 2023, Treefort’s main stage area has been set in Boise State’s “backyard” of Julia Davis Park, with more venues scattered throughout downtown Boise. The festival is musically centered, with more than 400 performers from around the world. But the festival also features several “forts” highlighting tech, storytelling, art, food, yoga and other communities and interests. The university has supported the festival since its inception in 2012, and became an official “architect” (the highest level of sponsorship) in 2015.
