Update Nov. 1, 2023: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the free medical, dental and vision clinic scheduled for Nov. 3rd and 4th will be postponed until Spring 2024.
Boise State will host a free clinic from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 3 and 4 at Euclid Church of the Nazarene, located at 1319 S Euclid Avenue in Boise. The clinic is primarily for students, faculty and staff, but members of the public also may attend.
Boise State will partner with Euclid Church and Love Heals, a local non-profit organization that hosts clinics around the world. The free clinic will offer dental, medical and vision services. Dental services include exams, X-rays, fillings, extractions, sealants, dental cleanings, oral health education and more. Dental professionals include board certified dentists, oral surgeons, hygienists, dental assistants and supervised dental students. Free eye exams are available, and glasses will be mailed. There will also be medical professionals on staff for questions or consultation.
“Many students have limited access to health coverage, especially dental, and when managing basic needs, medical and dental care often drop to the bottom of one’s list of priorities,” said Michelle Cain, Boise State student basic needs case manager. “The university is pleased to provide a program to help individuals access much-needed care, helping to ensure their success.”
Love Heals relies on healthcare professionals who donate their time and talents to care for others. Physicians, nurses, physician assistants, dentists, oral surgeons, hygienists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians and healthcare students all come together to meet the needs of patients.
