The State of Idaho’s new plan year for employee benefits started on July 1. Employees enrolled in benefit plans can expect to receive communications from Blue Cross of Idaho, Navia Benefit Solutions (for those with flexible spending accounts), the state Office of Group Insurance and the university’s human resources office highlighting new and continuing programs and benefits.
During the plan year, employees may enroll, add or remove dependents, or cancel their health coverage when they experience a qualifying life event. All other changes can be completed during the annual open enrollment period in late spring (dates to be announced).
