In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Bureau of Land Management, the Andrus Center for Public Policy is partnering with the bureau and the Public Lands Foundation to host a conversation from 3-5 p.m. on Nov. 10, Climate Change: Impacts on Public Lands.
Tim Murphy, former director of the bureau and the National Interagency Fire Center will moderate. Panelists include Jen Pierce, a professor in the School of Public Service, Steven Beissinger, a professor at the University of California Berkeley, Madeleine West, director of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership’s Center for Public Lands, and Grant Beebe, director of the National Interagency Fire Center.
The panel will be streamed live through the Public Lands Foundation Facebook page and YouTube Channel. The panel discussion is free to view and no registration is required.

The public lands that we focus on are those that are managed by the Bureau of Land Management. The foundation was founded in 1987 and is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. It endorses and embraces the multiple-use mission of the bureau. The foundation is an independent organization and is not part of the bureau. Membership is open to current, former, and retired bureau employees and all who have an interest in how public lands are used and managed.
