The news site Vox quoted Dawn Shepherd in a recent article, “How 1970s VCR dating paved the way for Tinder and Hinge.”
Shepherd is an associate professor in the Department of English and director of the Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication Emphasis.
Shepherd studies online dating and matching procedures. Vox consulted her because of her work on the history of matchmaking, including the emergence of video dating services in the late twentieth century.
