Gautam Basu Thakur, an associate professor in the Department of English, spoke at an online workshop on the topic of trajectories of populism organized by the English department at Delhi University, India, on Dec. 5.
Basu Thakur made two presentations, the first on the unconscious role of enjoyment in populist discourse and the second on the relation between French Revolution and the Reign of Terror in Andrzej Wajda’s 1983 film “Danton.”
