Professor of political science Ross Burkhart recently was interviewed by multiple international news programs on topics such as the recent presidential debate, President Trump testing positive for COVID-19, absentee voting and more.
Burkhart was interviewed for the report “НАГОРНЫЙ КАРАБАХ: АЗЕРБАЙДЖАН И АРМЕНИЯ ВВЕЛИ ВОЕННОЕ ПОЛОЖЕНИЕ” (roughly translated as “Nagorno-Karabakh: Azerbaijan and Armenia Declared Martial Law”) for the Atameken Business News television station in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The second interview was for the reports “У Д. ТРАМПА ПОДТВЕРДИЛСЯ COVID-19” (roughly translated as “Donald Trump Confirmed To Have COVID-19”), broadcast here on Oct. 2 in Russian, and “МЕСЯЦ ДО ВЫБОРОВ: КТО СЛЕДУЮЩИЙ ПРЕЗИДЕНТ США? / Интервью” (roughly translated as “One Month before the Election: Who is the Next U.S. President? / Interview”), broadcast here on Oct. 5th in Russian.
Burkhart was also interviewed by Publico, a newspaper in Lisbon, Portugal, on the ramifications of President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump testing positive for COVID-19 for the presidential campaign, the overall role of COVID-19 in the presidential campaign, and how the line of succession to the presidency proceeds. The article, “Trump com ‘sintomas ligeiros’ de covid-19 e uma enorme dor de cabeça até às eleições” (roughly translated as “Trump with covid-19 ‘mild symptoms’ and a huge headache until the elections”), was published on Oct. 2 and was published here in Portuguese.
