Jayash Paudel, an assistant professor in the Department of Economics, served as a panelist at the 73rd Association of Idaho Cities (AIC) annual conference on June 10 in the session titled “River Restoration and Economic Development.”
Paudel’s presentation focused on ways to quantify economic benefits and costs associated with environmental problems such as water pollution, and the role of economics in addressing Idaho’s environmental issues.
The other panelists included Hannah Sanger from the City of Pocatello, Brent Orton from the City of Caldwell and professor Brittany Brand from the Boise State Hazard and Climate Resilience Institute.
