Danielle Berish Charters has been named interim Title IX coordinator at Boise State.
Charters has worked in Institutional Compliance since December and at Boise State since 2012. She is excited to work directly with students and campus groups to bring more preventative educational programming to campus, as well as make campus familiar with the services and the support that is available to them.
“I want to create more awareness about our process, which has been a desire of many student groups over the last few years,” she said.
Charters will partner with stakeholders across campus and work to foster a campus environment that is free from sexual discrimination and harassment. Charters will report to Alicia Estey, chief of staff and vice president for compliance, legal and audit.
“Danielle will bring great energy to this role. She is committed to making our campus safe and welcoming for all members of our community,” said Estey.
Charters has extensive experience in National Collegiate Athletic Association compliance at both Boise State and Washington State University, interpreting rules and policies, conducting investigations, and providing education to students, staff and community members.
Charters earned her law degree from the University of Idaho, College of Law.
