College of Business and Economics assistant professors Garrett McBrayer, Jimmy Huang and Eddy Li co-authored a study with Jun Duanmu of Louisiana State University that examines hedge funds and corporate social responsibility (CSR): “Can Hedge Funds Benefit from CSR Investment?”.
Their work received accolades from AllAboutAlpha, a blog from the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association, which claimed that the four professors discovered that “hedge funds increased their exposure to CSR investments after the global financial crisis” and that “timing is a valuable clue to where its utility lies.” The study also was featured on BarclayHedge.
