The Boise State Association of Office Professionals will host its 2019 Professional Development Day on April 26. Everyone is welcome; individuals do not have to be AOP members to register.
The event will be the chance to learn skills like working better with other people, earning certificates, making new connections and more.
Vincent Muli Kituku, author, international speaker, and philanthropist who has taught at Boise State in the past, is the keynote speaker for the event. Kituku is the founder/director of Caring Hearts and Hands of Hope, a nonprofit organization that helps orphans and children from low-income families attend high school in Kenya. He also founded Caring Hearts High School, a boarding facility for girls.
Workshops will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Micron Business and Economics Building. The cost is $60 if you sign up between April 1-21, then increases to $70. No refunds after April 18. Current AOP members will receive a code for a 10 percent discount. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks will be provided. Register and find more details online.
