Jay Carlisle, associate research professor of biology, presented the two-session course, “Long-billed Curlew Ecology and Conservation in the Intermountain West” at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in early February. The course examined data that has been gathered since Carlisle’s spring 2018 Osher lecture.
The course also looked at continued threats to curlew populations, future objectives and the individual variations and unique behaviors of the Long-billed Curlew.
