The Shared Leadership program for Boise State employees is now accepting applications for the 2025-2027 cohort. Applications are due by June 30, 2025, and the two-year program will begin in fall 2025. Employees who are motivated to make a positive impact at Boise State are encouraged to apply.
Shared Leadership equips faculty and staff with the tools and insights they need to become active, influential leaders on campus. By combining practical leadership development with a deeper understanding of university operations, the program empowers participants to make meaningful contributions both within their departments and across the broader campus community.

The benefits of participating in the Shared Leadership program include:
- Sessions that integrate practical leadership tools with a corresponding campus/community activity or speaker in every session.
- Opportunities to take part as leaders in real and hypothetical situations.

- Mentorship from leaders and mentors within or outside the campus community to explore different leadership styles.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
- Hold a benefit-eligible position at Boise State, working 20 or more hours per week.
- Intend to remain employed at Boise State for the duration of the two-year program.
- Share a commitment to Boise State University and its community.
- Commit to full participation in the 2025-2026 program year and help plan and deliver the 2026-2027 program (with minimal absences).
- Obtain supervisor’s approval before applying.
