In celebration of Earth Day, Club de Ciencia at Boise State hosted a tabling event raise awareness about water conservancy and sustainable practices. The student-led initiative invited passersby to participate in conservation-themed trivia and informational flyers. The event was supported by the Department of World Languages and is part of the club’s ongoing mission to promote scientific research across campus. The club met every Friday at the Language Resource Center this semester.
Rosalba Vargas, a club member, shared practical tips for reducing water waste in everyday life and highlighted current local and global challenges related to water scarcity. The event also provided resources for those interested in getting involved with environmental initiatives on and off campus.
Water is a vital but often overlooked resource. The club wanted to use Earth Day as an opportunity to educate and empower the campus community to take small steps that can lead to big changes.
