Ellyn Enderlin, an associate professor in the Department of Geosciences, recently spoke to local Boise news station KTVB about her work researching melting glaciers and the impact of research funding cuts.
“[Research funding] is so critical to the science and engineering progress we make in this country,” Enderlin told KTVB. “We have been leaders in science and engineering.”
Enderlin’s research focuses on the impact of climate change on melting glaciers. She is also part of the CryoGARS group, a collection of researchers exploring remote sensing technology to measure snow and ice levels.
Earlier in 2025, Enderlin was recognized for a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. She is among the first Boise State faculty members to receive the award, alongside materials science and engineering professor Dave Estrada.
