On May 13, the School of Public Service will host the 2025 Commitment to Idaho Awards Ceremony, an annual event that recognizes exemplary leaders in the state of Idaho and on the internal School of Public Service team. The opening remarks of the event will also feature the reading of Idaho Governor Brad Little’s proclamation declaring May 13, 2025 Boise State University School of Public Service Day throughout the state of Idaho.

This year’s Commitment to Idaho Award will be presented to Boise Mayor Lauren McLean for her service and dedication to continually improving the state of Idaho.

The 2025 Enhancing Public Discourse Award will be presented to Jeff Tucker, general manager of Idaho Public Television, in recognition of his dedication to providing educational and informative media programming for Idahoans.
The honorees, along with a number of internal School of Public Service faculty and staff awardees, will be recognized at the in-person event at Boise State’s Alumni and Friends Center.
The School of Public Service will also celebrate its 10th anniversary of existence as a college at the Commitment to Idaho event.
