Two Boise State students, Pia Goodell and Ava Straub, received a $5,000 grant from the City of Boise’s Youth Climate Action Fund, which was used to install three micro-mobility charging stations on campus.

In partnership with Boise State’s sustainability, facilities and transportation teams, the Treasure Valley Clean Cities Coalition, the City of Boise, and local businesses, the chargers were successfully fabricated, painted and installed on campus.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony, held March 27, was featured on KTVB-TV news.
“This has been a successful student-led project that shows the potential of our community’s youth in executing impactful work,” said Randi Walkins, executive director of the Treasure Valley Clean Cities Coalition. “We are proud of Pia and Ava in their inspiration and dedication to their project. Not only are they protecting clean air on Boise State’s campus and in our community, but their work has a direct positive impact on our local economy and public health.”
The charging stations are located at Clearwater Suites Chaffee Hall and Sawtooth Hall. All locations for e-mobility charging on campus can be found on the interactive campus map.
