Erik Paulsen represented Minnesota’s Third Congressional District from 2009–2019, serving as a leading member on the chief tax writing House Ways and Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over health care, economic and trade policy. He also served as chair and co-chairman of several committees, notably the Joint Economic Committee, during his time as a member of Congress.

Peter DeFazio served for 36 years as the U.S. Representative for Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District, making him the longest-serving member of Congress in Oregon history. He is known as the “Tiger for the House” for his leadership on transportation, infrastructure, the environment and progressive issues.
