Charles Hunt, assistant professor of political science, published an article for The Conversation about the recent government funding bill and its timeline to get through Congress.

Despite the Republican party controlling a majority ‘trifecta’ in all three branches of the United States government, Hunt explained how this doesn’t necessarily mean everything on the Republican agenda will be easy to pass into law.
Hunt cited slim majority size, majority party troubles and competing pressures on legislators from their respective districts as reasons why certain legislation could be taking a much longer time than expected to make it through Congress.
