Albertsons Library is offering trial access to two new tools, SCOPUS AI and SciVal, and collecting researcher feedback on them. These tools are designed to help researchers, both students and faculty, streamline discovery, analyze impact and make data driven decisions.
SCOPUS AI
SCOPUS AI enhances the research process by integrating AI driven search and summarization within the SCOPUS database. It takes research questions and turns them into keyword searches, and then provides users a list of sources relevant to the question. This means quickly finding relevant articles, generating summaries and gaining key insights without manually sifting through large volumes of literature. Whether conducting a literature review, exploring emerging research trends, or seeking interdisciplinary connections, SCOPUS AI can significantly accelerate researchers’ workflow.
SciVal
SciVal provides in-depth research analytics and visualization tools, enabling users to:
- Benchmark research performance at individual, departmental, and institutional levels.
- Identify collaboration opportunities with global experts.
- Analyze publication impact and citation trends.
- Gain strategic insights to support funding proposals, institutional planning, and interdisciplinary partnerships.
Trials of SCOPUS AI and SciVal
This trial period is an opportunity to explore SCOPUS AI and SciVal firsthand. The SCOPUS AI trial will end on Feb. 28, 2025. The SciVal trial will end March 31, 2025. User insights will help determine whether these tools become part of Boise State University’s research ecosystem. Send feedback to Nancy Donahoo at nancydonahoo@boisestate.edu.
