The Office of Information Technology, Fixed Assets and Inventory Control, and Facilities Operation and Maintenance have migrated the process to track the disposal of excess university inventory items and assets to ServiceNow.
The process now separates the workflow into five different forms based on item type and removal process, including campus surplus (furniture and non-electrical items), electronic eWaste, donation, sale and trade-in.
The separation of the forms streamlines the approval process and makes maintaining each form more efficient. In addition, moving the form to ServiceNow’s ticketing system allows submitters and approvers to easily track the status of forms and provides better self-service and user experience.
Surplus forms that are currently in the queue will still be completed in Perceptive Content. Beginning Feb. 4, any new submissions must be completed in ServiceNow.
