In 2024, McGraw-Hill hosted a series of webinars for Operations and Supply Chain Management Success Week. The week-long series was led by distinguished authors and top instructors in the field.

Department of Supply Chain Management Lecturer Tracie Lee moderated the “OM (Operations Management) in the News Panel: Unlock Insights and Best Practices to Bring Relevancy into Your Operations Management Classroom.” The panel explored “the thought processes behind OM in the News, a blog and newsletter curated by faculty for faculty.” The panelists, faculty bloggers, shared “best practices and…insights into fostering engagement with current and relevant content through OM in the News.” Attendees learned how the blog can enhance course objectives, offering “up-to-date cases and articles for meaningful class discussions or projects.”

Lee worked with a web designer and a team at McGraw Hill to develop the blog, which launched in October 2017. As editor, she has published over 900 posts in the last seven years.

“I’m grateful for the many opportunities to share and learn from other faculty afforded by my time editing the blog, including serving on webinars like this one,” Lee said.
