Lisa Meierotto, associate professor and program lead in the School of Public Service, was recently interviewed for her expertise on the recently released immigration statement from Idaho Governor Brad Little.

In the statement, Gov. Little and 25 other Republican governors announced their full support and commitment to President-elect Donald Trump’s deportation plans for “dangerous criminals, gang members and terrorists.”
In the article, Meierotto shared that the statement’s claims are already part of current legislation, saying, “It’s not a big policy shift.” She also explained that the statement’s language is vague and leaves room for interpretation, reminding readers that the expectations forthcoming are not clear on this issue.
