Veronica Van Ry, an adjunct professor in the Department of Sociology, shared her experience with creating open educational resources: “There was no standard textbook used for SOC122 Sociological Communication. I worked with your great staff to create my own OER for the class and so far, students seem to like it. The process was challenging but not too difficult. The pace was perfect for me. I enjoyed the experience very much.”
For full details about the series, including how to apply and the stipends available, visit the Open Education Development Series website.
The series is an opportunity to deepen knowledge of open educational resources, develop new teaching resources and join a community dedicated to advancing open education.
