Jim Kroes, professor of supply chain management, and Anna Land, assistant professor in the department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management, have published a paper in the International Journal of Operations and Production Management.
Titled, “Gender Diversity and Injustice Among Supply Chain Executives: Exploring Outcomes That Advance Social Justice,” the paper investigates the underrepresentation of women in executive roles within supply chain management. It assesses whether this underrepresentation is justified or stems from gender injustices, with a focus on the gender compensation gap. Kroes and Land used publicly reported executive compensation and financial data to explore gender differences within this field.
