Charlie Hunt, assistant professor in the School of Public Service, published an article for The Conversation on the level of importance voters place on how much experience a political candidate has. The article describes how experience is an attribute voters like, but when they believe things aren’t going well in the country, they sometimes prefer a “change” candidate and value experience less.
