Amber Hoye, director of the World Languages Resource Center, presented two sessions at the 2024 Open Education Conference. In her first session, “What do you do again? Connecting the Dots from Your Role to Open Education,” co-presented with Abbey K. Elder, Shannon M. Smith and Amanda Larson, the group shared strategies for integrating open education into various roles and advocating for its value within organizations and communities. Her second session, “An eBook of One’s Own: Creating Open ePortfolio Templates,” co-presented with Terry Greene, discussed the development of accessible, openly licensed e-portfolio templates designed to empower students of all digital literacy levels to showcase their work confidently. Both sessions focused on promoting open education and enhancing inclusivity in educational practices.
